Church

Sunday we went to the church Nueva Vida y Paz (rehabilitation center). After the service I spoke with one of the guys in the program. He was from Honduras, Pastors kid but he fell into an addict life. I was speaking life into him and encouraging him. He look so happy and he praise God with all of his heart. It is amazing what Nueva Vida y Paz organization is doing to help addicts. The amazing thing is we were able to connect our ministry host from Reindom with them (especially since many addicits & alcoholics come to the Kingdom Table)

Shoe shop

After we had free time Banks & I went walking and asking the Lord to guide us. We walk around the neighborhood in Parramos. We pray for some alcoholics. Then we found a shoe repair worker. He invited us into his shop and told us how he hasn’t been going to church. But he wants of God and he listened and received our words. We pray for him and he was so touched that he really wants his relationship with God to be good again.

After this I remember one of my Squad members blogs. Lexy wrote “Sometimes the Lord needs us to minister to believers as well.” This impacted me so much because yes I want to minister Christ to unbelievers but He also wants me to minister to other believers. I noticed most of the people I have encountered in Sumpango know Jesus but they have fallen away from him. So God is teaching me that I have to minister everybody. No matter who they are, how they are, my work is to encourage them to seek Jesus.

That same day I met a man who came and talk to me. He end up accepting Jesus. Glory to God!

Santa Marta/wake-funeral

On Monday when we did minister with the kids. Kirsten and I pray again for Lucia (grandmother & mother) who was in her last moments we prayed that God’s will be done and gave words of comfort to the family.

That same night a guy from Reindom who lives in Santa Marta calls that Lucia has past away. So at 10:30pm in the night we leave in the back of a truck to Santa Marta. We went to the wake and had the chance to pray for Maria Cecilia and her brother and their families. The presence of the Lord was there and there was a beautiful peace.

Later on Wednesday we went to her funeral to show support to the family and the Santa Marta people. It’s different because the coffin goes on a truck and the whole village walks behind the truck to the cementary.

Kingdom Table

We served at the Kingdom Table since its every Wednesday. It was amazing to see how some of the alcoholics sang to the Lord with all of their hearts. We gave them food and spoke to them. Banks & I heard their stories and pray for them. A lot of them were broken and wept like kids.

I was able to talk to one guy and pray for him and gave his life to Christ. Then later on Kirsten, Bank, and I minister and pray for a man and he was really touched and he opened his heart and accepted Jesus.

Rehab & Freedom

In the night we had a crazy experience with a guy we took to the rehabilitation center (Nueva Vida y Paz). Some of Reindom and several of my team took him because he wanted help but he end up getting wasted and fell asleep so we took him back to our ministry home. Then all the guys took turns waking up at midnight to vigil so he wouldn’t leave. My turn was at 2am. When I woke up they told me he was awake so I go inside with the guy and three other Guatemalans guys from Reindom. Then I start talking to the guy but he is so afraid because he sees and feels an evil spirit. Then he starts getting attacked, so then with the Reindom guys we start praying and rebuking. But then the guy starts manifesting and the evil spirit/demon was strong since it was a high rank evil force but God gave us strength & authority and we battle for two hours. Finally he was free in Jesus name and the guy reconciled with the Lord. And in the morning we were able to take him to rehab.

He was the first guy from the Kingdom Table that goes into rehab. This is a huge win and victory for Reindom and us.

Glory to God.

ps this guy is a different guy from Banks story

Attacked

Now the thing is that the enemy is not happy. The two times I have face evil spirits/demons I been attacked several nights. Especially in my dreams and during the midnight. He also is been trying to attack me with fear something God set me free from it after years of struggle. But God has given me victory.

Please keep me in your prayers.

Iglesia

Termino aceptando a Jesús. Gloria a Dios!

Santa Marta/velorio-funeral

Gloria a Dios.

  1. Right out of the book of Acts( of the Holy Sprit) Kevin.
Proud of you brother. Going from place to place, town to town, city to city, church or para church Organization event to the next, ATL, lifestyle/friendship/personal evangelism, life is mission mission is life.

So pumped to see you going out in twos or simply going from one opportunity to the next. Truly this is how Paul closed out his letter to two different churches in two different locations summing up what was most important to both of them in the last chapters of each Episitle-

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
    ??Colossians? ?4:2-6? ?ESV??

    And

“praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”
    ??Ephesians? ?6:18-20? ?ESV??
